More than a requirement of its operation as a school using the S.O.T.® curriculum, School visits visualize the need and maintain the quality of the system standard in accordance with the Procedures Manual by affirming that all schools are following the procedures appropriately. School visits are an important mandate in helping schools thru advising, encouraging, praying and motivating students, staff, administrators, and parents of each school. Having the “Total Loving Care” (TLC) approach, the School Services Department through its Research and Program Development helps schools reach their growth potential.

Maintaining our schools throughout the archipelago is indeed a great work and assisted through school assistance visits. Through the years, School of Tomorrow®, Philippines’ ministry, has had people who have committed their lives to accepting the challenge to be a field representative in support and obedience to the Lord’s mandate in reaching next generation for Christ through Christian education.

“After praying with my wife I said yes to the offer to work with S.O.T.® in 1999 because I wanted to learn more about S.O.T.® in a wider scope and to know how clientele schools are dispensing the program. It’s a joy to see that God through Christian education has been working through this system in bringing children to Jesus and personally receiving Him as a Savior. The challenge is how the system must be entrenched in the hearts and minds of pastors, principals and churches who are using this program and how it must be adopted by churches and Christian individuals who are planning to start a school. At S.O.T.® I found ‘a family’ that stands true to God’s Word.”

“I specifically decided to work with S.O.T.® as a field representative to help open new schools and assist the existing ones to become better. Seeing young people grow mature and apply scriptural principles in their lives and the challenge to reach out to students’ families for Jesus has been a blessing. I see my work as an opportunity to fulfill my responsibility as a Pastor and an Educator.”

“I decided to work with the S.O.T.® as a field representative because of its philosophy which to me appears to be a very essential educational system and one that this generation needs. It caters not only to the intellect but the whole being of a child. It has always been a joy for me to see schools expanding the ministry of winning souls through the use of the S.O.T.® system. The challenge is how to be of more help to our fellow christian educators, equipping them more with strategies in implementing the system using the academic. With the academic excellence and character building of the S.O.T.® system. Leaving is not an option.”

“Working as a field representative with S.O.T.® is an opportunity to share thoughts and help other schools get established and continue on with what they are doing – believing that the system really works. It is a joy serving others, seeing our youth being equipped and prepared with things not only for this life but also for eternity gives us fulfilment. With our strong biblical foundations, the S.O.T.® system sometimes meets challenges with other educational systems. Undeniably, we always find and that the products that we produce are better. With this in mind, I challenge folks: for over three decades, S.O.T.® has never changed its norms or standards. Non-negotiables are still non-negotiables. We will carry the vision and mission ‘till our Lord Jesus comes. This is the reason why I have stayed through the years.”

“I believe in the uniqueness of the individualized system and its integration of Biblical truths in the curriculum especially the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Thus, I believe that it is the Lord’s will for me to be a field representative for SOT®P. Being able to visit and assist schools in different places is an opportunity for me to be able to learn from pastors and administrators and improve a school’s effectivity.”

“I grew up working and going with my dad as a Consultant of S.O.T.® and I saw his passion for pursuing Christian Education. I wanted to continue this heritage as a graduate of the system and I also wanted to help schools grow and be more fruitful in this ministry. I believe the character building based on biblical training is one of the things S.O.T.® is giving us. The staff may not be perfect, but I know they do their best to stick to the biblical principles that are taught in our PACEs. My hope and prayer is for S.O.T.® to never deviate from the Bible. As Isaiah 40:8 says, “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” May S.O.T.® stand steadfast in His Word until the coming of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.”

“The title (Field Representative) bears great tasks which call for commitment and Godly wisdom. Part of the challenge for me was to do out-of-town school visits which often takes 1-2 days of travel. Other locations sometimes require us to trail harrowing treks or to drive past risky areas with surrounding rebels. But the joy of seeing fruitful appointments and evident progress among schools and educators surpasses the journey’s obstacles. The emphasis on how God’s mercy has sustained this system of learning to be a channel of blessing is truly remarkable.”

Mr. Reynesto Garcia

Field Representative for Southern Tagalog, (Quezon, Batangas and Laguna) since 1996
I am so thankful that the Lord used Bro. Jun Custodio (former field rep handling our area) for recommending me as his replacement and to be a part of School of Tomorrow® Philippines as a Field Rep in Quezon, Batangas and Laguna Provinces. I started in June of 1996. I appreciate much his trust and recommendation. I also appreciate S.O.T.® for accepting me as one of the field reps even without a formal application letter submitted to them. From my initial year up to the present, I enjoy working with Christian men and women of S.O.T.® and the schools I visit. Being a field rep, I consider myself to be in the Lord’s vineyard and in a ministry, otherwise I would not be staying here for long. Every school visit, I need to prepare for the visit (check the previous year’s school visit form), myself must be free of any other loads (problems) and fully energized to be a blessing to the schools to be visited. I need to wake up early to be at the first school to visit as early as possible. When I still visited schools in Gloria & Pinamalayan, both in Oriental Mindoro, I would wake up at 2:00 in the morning to catch up the first trip of the fast craft (Super Cat) from Batangas City pier to Calapan City, then I arrived home before midnight from the school visit. I felt and sensed that there are also some schools who don’t want to be visited for they thought they knew everything. I drive a car during school visits and there are times I stopped by at gas stations to take a nap while on the way back home after a school visit. Each school has different problems, so I need to be tough, have wisdom and be humble in dealing with each one, because the schools are looking at us field reps as the ‘extension arm’ of S.O.T.®. There are so many challenges I face but the joy of service is always there to help the schools who need help and be an encouragement to others who are getting frustrated and planning to stop operations. There are times I think of quitting from my responsibility as a field rep, however, my wife is always the source of encouragement to stick with the group. Because it’s one of my ministries which is the next longest Christian ministry I am working with, aside from being the Administrator of Good News Christian School for the last 26 years. The individualized, bible-based curriculum which S.O.T.® provides is another reason why I stick with the organization. The people I am working with, whom I’ve known before I became a field rep also make me want to stick with them. Lastly, through the years, God has always been good and He has never failed.

“I thank the Lord for allowing me to be a part of this ministry of christian education. The ministry has helped me improve myself as I also assist schools - especially the new ones - to appreciate the uniqueness of this God given system of education. It’s been my joy for the past 18 years to assist all the schools under my watch. The challenges are there, year after year, big and small but I think it only shows us how important it is that we not forget to continue to implore God’s approval in every endeavor that we undertake. The challenge is for us Christians to keep on growing and learning and extending God’s grace to other people.”

“Working with S.O.T.® is a great privilege, representing and publishing quality christian education, in the Western Visayas region. Every school visit I have brings me joy in knowing that students are coming to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ and they are added to the church and its ministries. All the experiences encountered in the field, become a challenge for me to saturate the region with the S.O.T.® System “Reaching One Child At A Time” for Christ. The Biblical principles and educational approach of the S.O.T.® system have allowed me to work closely with others for the past seven years. We are able to touch young lives and see them transformed for the glory of God and bring success to our country.”

“Working with S.O.T.® as a field representative is more than a desire. This is also one way of showing my obedience to the Lord’s calling. It is a joy seeing the schools learn and fully adopt the system as more young lives are being established with a good and proper foundation for their life. The Biblical principles that are being implemented through the system are a great joy for me to see as lives come to the saving Knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through the system. My three children graduated from the system and they received good training. This challenged me to continue working as a field representative for S.O.T.®”

“I took 2 years to pray and see God’s confirmation before I accepted the responsibility as a field representative, believing that it’s a privilege and an honor to have such a ministry. Being in the field, seeing the localities with no S.O.T.® schools is a challenge for me to pray and dream for more S.O.T.® schools to start in the near future. The vision that it has for our younger generation to become the future Christian leaders of our country, and the privilege and honor of serving the Lord through Christian education is the best thing about S.O.T.® and has made me stick through the years.“

I am passionate about professions that help me build up relational skills and I believe that being a field rep is the work fit for me and is the main reason why I specifically decided to work with SOT®P. My joy lies in knowing that my life, in my past experiences, has served as a blessing to others and continues to be up to now by encouraging educators all over the nation to never give up on Christian education because it really pays. The challenge that I face every now and then is finding ways to help people with their dilemmas. This is the burden that I continue to bear in my heart and is what makes me stay in the SOT®P.

Working as a SOT®P field representative is both a privilege and a calling. The second time Bro. Cesar De Ocampo invited me to become part of the group of people who are encouragers and “pushers” of schools, I did not hesitate to say, “Yes!” Knowing that I will be helping schools to grow and become better has become my motivation. Despite the challenges that I get, I am happy to help. Officially, it has been five years since I became a field representative and I have not turned back. Because it is a joy to be a field representative, it’s a joy!!!

We have a good curriculum, thus we have to enrich, strengthen and educate those who implement the one who will implement the system. Through school visits, we strive to be sure that procedures are properly implemented, weaknesses are strengthened and schools are healthy as they train tomorrow’s future leaders of the Philippines.
Rev. Alex Celeste

Rev. Alex Celeste

School of Tomorrow Philippines Senior Manager Field Representative for Baguio, Manila, Makati, Pasay Field Rep since July 1984
It was in 1985 when I was invited by our Director to be the Field Representative of School of Tomorrow® in Northern Philippines. I was not that knowledgeable of what to do then, but just to present the School of Tomorrow® (A.C.E.® curriculum) to pastors and encourage them to extend their ministries in educating their children in the church. Just like sharing the Good News of salvation to the unbelievers, I found sharing the ministry of Christian Education so challenging and exciting. As the years went by and I saw many schools started in Northern Philippines, it just kept me going. I did not tire of traveling and continually “marketing” the system and helping schools in their ministries. I have already taken this ministry with the School of Tomorrow® as one of my ministries – to continually represent the S.O.T.® in the field, seeing more schools started and children educated in biblical ways being my heart’s desire. I don’t know when I would stop doing this. This has already been part of me – it is now in my system. Working with School of Tomorrow® gives me so much joy and fulfilment, especially when I see young people living for Christ and when I see the fruit of our labour. In fact, I now have many young children calling me “lolo”because their parents were trained and educated in S.O.T.® system. What a joy to be addressed as such! I still have to see an educational system that would surpass what School of Tomorrow® system offers. It, being individualized and mastery-based learning, together with all that the system offers that other systems do not have, I would not exchange this for any other educational system. The system really works – we just have to work it.
